The Leader Within™
The Leader Within motivates and facilitates self-management and self-development to enhance on-the-job effectiveness and career success and resiliency. Participants discover the self-leadership behaviours that improve relationships and task performance, current behaviours that reduce their personal effectiveness, and strategies for changing those behaviours.

Time Required: 3-5 hours to facilitate the programme
Format: The Leader Within is a powerful blend of
individual and team exercises, self-scoring assessment activities, and guided
discussions for on-site training programs. The Participant’s Workbook features
the paper, self-scored Life Styles Inventory
(LSI 1).
Feedback Provided:
LSI 1 results illustrate personal orientations (Constructive, Passive/Defensive, and Aggressive/Defensive) and 12 specific thinking and behavioural styles associated with these orientations. Participants create an action plan based on these results, exercises, and discussions.
Presentation of Results: Participants’ LSI 1 results are
displayed on the circumplex, normed on the
basis of 9,000 respondents. Participants “take away” from the session their
profiles, results from exercises and activities, as well as their
self-development plans.
Associated Outcomes: Research shows that the LSI styles are
related to the effectiveness of individual contributors in terms
of quality of interpersonal relations, openness to feedback, stress, and
job satisfaction.
